NOTE: WAVE enrolls students through their local school district. If your student is not enrolled in a Washtenaw County school district, please complete step 1 (highlighted in yellow below).
WAVE ENROLLMENT PROCESS
NOTE: If you do not have access to a computer, feel free to come into WAVE during open enrollment on Tuesday and Thursdays between 10am -2pm to complete paper enrollment forms.
Step 1: Is your student enrolled in a Washtenaw County School District?
WAVE students must be enrolled in a Washtenaw county school. If your student is not enrolled in a local school district, please do that first. Here are our partnering districts:
If you live outside of Washtenaw county, you can apply for school of choice into one of the following districts: Ypsilanti Community Schools, Lincoln Consolidated Schools, or Milan Schools.
NOTE:
STUDENTS 18 AND OVER MUST HAVE AT LEAST 10 CREDITS TO ENROLL IN WAVE AND PROVIDE A COPY OF THEIR MOST RECENT TRANSCRIPT. If you have further questions or special circumstances, please contact waveoffice@weocflex.org

Step 3: Complete WAVE Powerschool Enrollment. Here is the link:

The form will ask you to upload documents such as birth certificate, immunization records, and proof of residency.
Step 4: Come to WAVE for an enrollment meeting.
WAVE has drop-in open enrollment meetings every Tuesday and Thursday from 10am -2pm, no appointment necessary. All students MUST ATTEND an in person appointment. Students over the age of 18 can come without a parent or guardian.

Orientation
All students must attend a face to face orientation by appointment held at the WAVE Lab. Orientations are held on Mondays from 9am - noon, Please note, we do NOT have orientations in April, July, October and December therefore no students can start WAVE during these months.
Dates for 2026/27 orientations are the following:
August: 10th, 17th, 24th and 31st
September: 14th, 21st, 28th
October: 5th
November: 9th
December: No Orientations
January: 11th, 25th
February: 1st, 8th
March: 15th
April: No Orientations
May: 17th
June: No Orientations
July: No Orientations

Washtenaw Alliance for Virtual Education is made possible by the following partnerships:
School of Choice
Students who do not live in Washtenaw county must school of choice into one of the following school districts: Lincoln Consolidated Schools, Ypsilanti Community Schools, or Milan High School. Please check their websites for the dates that the school of choice applications open.
